Chimera Declares Q3 Dividend, Updates BV Figures

Chimera has elected to keep its shareholder payout steady. For its Q3, the company has declared a common stock dividend of $0.09 per share, to be paid on Oct. 31 to shareholders of record as of Oct. 4. That amount matches each of the company's previous five disbursements, the most recent of which was paid at the end of last month. Before that, the company handed out $0.11 per share.

The just-declared dividend annualizes to $0.36 per share. That yields just over 12% at Chimera's most recent closing stock price of $2.99.

The company also updated its estimated book value. As of this past June 30, that figure according to GAAP standards was $3.52 per share, while its economic book value stood at $3.01. Those numbers as of this past March 31 were $3.55 and $3.08, respectively.
