Waste Management Maintains Dividend

Waste Management isn't letting its spare capital go to waste. The company has declared a fresh quarterly dividend of $0.365 per share, to be dispensed on Sept. 20 to shareholders of record as of Sept. 6. That amount matches both of the company's previous two distributions, the most recent of which was paid in June. Before that, Waste Management handed out exactly one cent less, at $0.355 per share.

The firm is a solid and steady dividend payer. Since it began distributing quarterly payouts in March 2004, its dividend has climbed from $0.1875 to the present level.

The just-declared disbursement annualizes to $1.46 per share. That yields 3.5% at Waste Management's most recent closing stock price of $41.89.
