Nuance Dragon Assistant Arrives on Thirteen New Intel-Inspired Ultrabook, Notebook and All-in-One Devices

Dragon Assistant Turns New Line Up of PCs from Lenovo, Asus, Acer and Toshiba into Always-Listening Personal Assistants; Simply Speak to Search the Web, Play Music, Update Facebook and Twitter, Check and Reply to Email, and More

BURLINGTON, Mass.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Nuance Communications, Inc. (NAS: NUAN) today announced the availability of Intel-inspired Ultrabook™, notebook and All-in-One devices from Lenovo, Asus, Acer and Toshiba featuring Nuance Dragon Assistant. Always listening and awaiting your command, Dragon Assistant combines the power of voice and personal assistant technologies on personal computing devices to let people speak to search the Web, find content, play music, check and reply to email, update Facebook or Twitter and more. The new voice-enabled device lineup is available in time for the back-to-school shopping season as part of the exclusive Best Buy Premium Collection.

With Dragon Assistant, your voice is your PC's command. Just say, "Hello Dragon," and the voice assistant is ready to take action - whether searching the web for back-to-school must-haves, quickly accessing an "end of summer" playlist, or updating Facebook and Twitter - totally hands-free, no keyboard, mouse or headset required. Dragon Assistant will even open applications and programs and supports dictation so you can talk instead of type.

Dragon Assistant was designed for personal computing devices powered by Intel Core™ processors and is based on the very same voice recognition technology at the heart of the renowned Dragon NaturallySpeaking. Dragon Assistant is always available because it works when the device is both online and offline.

"Dragon Assistant creates a fast, fun and easy way for people to interact with their devices, ultimately giving them more freedom and flexibility in how they stay connected and productive. It also brings an important element of Intel's perceptual computing vision to fruition - helping to make computing more natural, intuitive and immersive," said Anil Nanduri, Director of Products and Solutions, Perceptual Computing Group, Intel.

"We are a generation of multi-taskers who want constant access to people and information, no matter where we are or what we're doing," said Sarah Gaeta, vice president and general manager, Dragon Desktop, Nuance Mobile. "Dragon Assistant keeps people connected through a more conversational and human interface that is changing the way people use the PC."
