Macquarie Strengthens U.S. Equities Effort with Senior Appointments

  • Four senior appointments in Macquarie's New York and San Francisco locations

  • Strengthens US and international equities sales, sales trading and trading efforts

NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Macquarie Securities, the institutional equities arm of Macquarie Group ("Macquarie") (ASX: MQG; ADR: MQBKY), today announced a range of senior sales and sales trading appointments to its US equities business.

  • Michael Gray joins as a Managing Director and Head of International Sales Trading. With more than 27 years experience in equities trading, he joins from Morgan Stanley, where he was a Managing Director and managed its international equity sales trading team over the past decade. He is based in New York.

  • Ali Mossadeghi joins as a Managing Director focusing on institutional equity sales. He has previously held a number of senior sales positions at Susquehanna International Group, Pali Capital, Barclays Capital and Lehman Brothers. He is based in San Francisco.

  • Liz Hunter joins as a Senior Vice President in cash trading. She was most recently a director in cash equities at Bank of America Merrill Lynch, where she focused on large cap financials and held other senior trading roles in small cap financials, technology, media and telecommunications. She is based in New York

  • Jason Rubin joins as a Senior Vice President responsible for institutional sales. Prior to Macquarie, he was a director at Dahlman Rose & Co. He began his career in equity sales at Bear Stearns and then JP Morgan. Jason is based in New York.

The new appointments expand on the recent hires the firm made to its US institutional equities business in Boston.
