Whirlpool Maintains Dividend

Whirlpool is keeping true to its existing dividend policy. The company has declared a quarterly common stock distribution of $0.625 per share, to bepaid on September 15 to shareholders of record as of August 30. That amount matches the firm's previous disbursement, which was paid in June. Previous to that, Whirlpool dispensed $0.50 per share.

One of the sturdier dividend payers on the market, the company has been paying a distribution since March 1972.

The just-declared dividend annualizes to $2.50 per share. That yields 1.9% at Whirlpool's most recent closing stock price of $134.25.
