Regions Bank Kicks off 2013 SEC Greats Tour and Announces New Sponsorship Agreement with College Football Hall of Fame

Watch for playing legends and Hall of Famers at weekly game day events

BIRMINGHAM, Ala.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Regions Bank (NYS: RF) is kicking off its 2013 Southeastern Conference Greats Tour with a chance to meet SEC coaches and players at its tent at SEC Beachfest, through August 18 in Gulf Shores, Ala.

At the same time, the bank has signed an agreement as a major sponsor of the new College Football Hall of Fame, set to open in fall 2014 in Atlanta. The agreement with the Hall of Fame includes being the exclusive banking sponsor, as well as providing a forum for financial education initiatives and other promotional and development opportunities.

"Partnering with the College Football Hall of Fame is a natural extension of the 20-year relationship we've had with the SEC and of our other collegiate partnerships," said Paul Hodges, head of Regions Sponsorships. "Not only will this new agreement provide the bank opportunities for financial education, but it also lets customers and fans enjoy the history and personalities who've made the game of college football so exceptional."

SEC greats and 2012 College Football Hall of Fame inductees - including former head coaches Phil Fulmer and R.C. Slocumb - will be making appearances at the Regions tent at Beachfest.

"We are grateful for the support Regions has pledged to the Hall, knowing it will provide us with additional avenues to protect, preserve and promote the heritage and passion of college football," said John Stephenson, CEO of the College Football Hall of Fame. "Regions has demonstrated its commitment to the game through its long-time partnership with the SEC, and we're excited to now be proud partners with them moving forward."
