Prudential Financial Keeps Steady Dividend

Financial services firm Prudential this week declared a $0.40-per-share quarterly dividend. The amount will be made payable on Sept. 19 to shareholders on record as of the close of business on Aug. 27.

Prudential has paid this amount to shareholders since March. Prior to that, the company had paid an annual dividend of $1.60 per share. As of market close on Aug. 14, Prudential was trading at $80.13. The company's annualized payout adds up to $1.60, which means its dividend currently yields 2%.
