Harris Teeter Keeps Steady Dividend

Harris Teeter announced this week that it will be holding its dividend steady this quarter, paying investors $0.15 per share.

The grocery store chain has paid this amount since January, after raising its payout 7% from $0.14. This latest dividend will be payable on Oct. 1 to stockholders of record as of Sept. 6.

The annualized payout for Harris Teeter adds up to $0.60 per share. As of the market close on Aug. 15, Harris Teeter's stock price was $49.25, which means the company's dividend currently yields 1.2%. The company has paid its investors a quarterly dividend since 1997.


Harris Teeter announced last month that it will be acquired by Kroger.
