Customizable Moto X Smartphone Coming to AT&T Next Week

With the ability to custom design smartphone features including adding a name on the back, picking colors for both the front and back, and choosing custom power-on messages, AT&T will begin offering the Moto X smartphone from Google's Motorola Mobility division beginning Aug. 23, AT&T announced today.

According to AT&T's statement, the "customizable version of Moto X is the first smartphone designed by you, assembled in the USA and available only for AT&T," and will be built and shipped within four days.

AT&T plans to offer the Moto X smartphone's 16 GB version for $199.99 and its 32 GB option for $249.99. Both phone alternatives require a two-year agreement and can be customized at either a retail outlet or on its website. Moto X will run on AT&T's 4G network.
