Cvent Announces Closing of $135 Million Initial Public Offering

MCLEAN, Va.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Cvent, Inc. (NYS: CVT) , a leading cloud-based enterprise event management platform, announced that yesterday it closed its previously announced initial public offering of 5,600,000 shares of its common stock at a price to the public of $21.00 per share. All of the common stock was offered by Cvent. The shares began trading on the New York Stock Exchange on August 9, 2013, under the ticker symbol "CVT." In connection with the initial public offering, the underwriters exercised in full their option to purchase an additional 840,000 shares of common stock from the company.

Cvent received gross proceeds of approximately $135 million from the offering, including the exercise of the overallotment option. The company intends to use the proceeds from this offering, net of underwriting discounts and commissions, for working capital and general corporate purposes, including further expansion of operations and product development.


Morgan Stanley & Co. LLC and Goldman, Sachs & Co. acted as joint book-running managers for the offering. Stifel, Nicolaus & Company, Incorporated, Pacific Crest Securities LLC and Needham & Company, LLC acted as co-managers.
