Carla Harris Appointed Chair of the National Women's Business Council

NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Morgan Stanley Managing Director Carla Harris has been appointed by President Barack Obama as Chair of the National Women's Business Council.

The National Women's Business Council (NWBC) is a non-partisan federal government council created to serve as an independent source of advice and counsel to the President, Congress and the U.S. Small Business Administration on economic issues of importance to women entrepreneurs.

Carla Harris is Vice Chairman of Wealth Management and Senior Client Advisor at Morgan Stanley. She also serves as Chair of the Morgan Stanley Foundation and sits on the boards of several community organizations. Harris began her career with the Firm in the Mergers & Acquisitions department in 1987.
