Private equity firm Main Street Capitalannounced today its fourth-quarter monthly dividend schedule of $0.16 per share, a 3% increase in the monthly payout to investors from the $0.155 per share paid last quarter.
The board of directors said the dividends will be paid in October, November, and December, totaling $0.48 per share for the fourth quarter. Since its October 2007 IPO, Main Street has periodically increased the amount of its regular monthly dividends paid per share and has never reduced the monthly payout amount per share.
The regular dividend payment equates to a $1.92-per-share annual dividend, yielding 6.5% based on the closing price today of Main Street Capital's stock.
