Briggs & Stratton Dividend Payout Motors On

Small-engine maker Briggs & Stratton announced today its third-quarter dividend of $0.12 per share, the same rate it's paid for the past four quarters after raising the payout 9% from $0.11 per share.

The board of directors said the quarterly dividend is payable on Oct. 1 to the holders of record at the close of business on Sept. 16. The regular dividend payment equates to a $0.48-per-share annual dividend, yielding 2.4% based on the closing price today of Briggs & Stratton's stock.
