Identity protection service LifeLock has appointed Gary Briggs as the newest member of its board of directors.

Briggs is currently the Chief Marketing Officer for Facebook. Prior to this position, Briggs acted as Google's vice president of consumer marketing, where he oversaw marketing projects for a number of the search engine's facets, including Google+ and Google.org. When Google acquired Motorola Mobility, Briggs was appointed to Senior Vice President, and also advised the subsidiary's CEO.

LifeLock CEO Todd Davis looks forward to the new appointment of Briggs, believing that "Gary's marketing experience and industry leadership will provide LifeLock with important insights that will further fuel our momentum."
