Agilysys Announces Availability of SWSDirect

Inventory and Procurement Application Provides Intuitive Shopping Cart Experience, Supplier Portal, Enhanced Features and Functionality

ALPHARETTA, Ga.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Agilysys, Inc. (NAS: AGYS) , a leading provider of innovative information technology and hospitality software and services, today announced the general availability of SWSDirect, an add-on module that delivers new features and functionality to the company's Stratton Warren System (SWS) inventory and procurement solution.

SWSDirect provides a convenient, efficient and intuitive shopping cart experience to users of the Stratton Warren System. The application streamlines operations and is easy to learn, significantly reducing staff training costs. Enhanced bidding and request for pricing functionality enables buyers to obtain additional bids via the Web, which lowers costs through competitive purchasing. Other features include supplier registration tools and self-service maintenance capabilities. This functionality allows suppliers to register and update company information quickly and easily while providing properties with advanced reporting tools that increase the visibility of documents that may have expired, such as vendor licenses and certificates.

Message boards enable purchasing staff and suppliers to communicate more effectively. The system's internal message board alerts staff to price increases, changes in delivery schedules and other variables. The external message board allows purchasing staff to share information with vendors instantly.

The Stratton Warren System is a full-featured inventory and procurement solution that maximizes purchasing power and reduces operational costs. Recognized as a leading inventory and procurement application in the hospitality industry, the solution automates the entire procurement process — from requisition to invoice — and provides a fast and measurable return on investment by identifying the most suitable suppliers, reducing labor costs and waste and eliminating time-consuming and error-prone paper documents. Features of the system include budget tracking, business intelligence functionality, automated email bid capability, multiple par level functionality and wireless mobile computer enhancements.

"SWSDirect is the perfect complement to our comprehensive Stratton Warren System inventory and procurement solution, enabling customers to increase efficiency and enhance purchasing power with a simple add-on module," said Maris Berzins, vice president of development for applications at Agilysys. "It is our mission to deliver best-of-breed software solutions to the hospitality market. With the introduction of SWSDirect, Agilysys continues to transform the inventory and procurement experience, helping customers streamline their operations easily and affordably."
