Pep Boys Appoints Jim Flanagan Senior Vice President - Chief Human Resources Officer

PHILADELPHIA--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- The Pep Boys - Manny, Moe & Jack (NYSE: "PBY"), the nation's leading automotive aftermarket service and retail chain, announced the appointment of Jim Flanagan as Chief Human Resources Officer. Mr. Flanagan will lead our #1 strategy to attract, develop and retain the best people to care for our customers and their cars. Mr. Flanagan is expected to start with Pep Boys on August 26, 2013.

Mr. Flanagan previously served as Chief Human Resources Officer of GSI Commerce, prior to its acquisition by eBay. His more than 20 years of leadership experience includes human resources positions at Starwood Hotels, Starbucks, Bank of America and homegrocer.com.
