UPS Declares Class A and B Stock Dividends

United Parcel Service is getting ready to wrap its latest dividends in a box and ship them to stockholders. The company has declared a quarterly distribution of $0.62 for both its class A and B shares, to be paid on September 4 to holders of record as of August 19. That amount matches both of the firm's preceding two payouts, the most recent of which was dispensed at the end of May. Prior to that, UPS was less generous by a nickel, distributing $0.57 per share.

In the press release announcing the latest disbursement, the logistics giant pointed out that it has paid a distribution in either cash or stock every year since 1955.

The just-declared dividend annualizes to $2.48 per share. That yields 2.8% at UPS' current stock price of $88.12.
