Algenist Debuts Advanced Anti-Aging Repairing Oil
Brand's first product to feature Solazyme's advanced Microalgae Oil is on store shelves internationally August 8that Sephora
SAN FRANCISCO--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Algenist, a leading anti-aging skincare brand, today announced that its new product, Advanced Anti-Aging Repairing Oil, is now available internationally on store shelves at Sephora. The new anti-aging serum is the first commercial product to feature Solazyme's Microalgae Oil. The patent-pending advanced Microalgae Oil was developed by Solazyme, a renewable oil and bioproducts company. In addition to Sephora and Sephora inside jcpenney, the new product can be found at Space NK, QVC, Sephora.com and Algenist.com.
The Advanced Anti-Aging Repairing Oil is formulated with patent-pending Microalgae Oil, an ingredient rich in Oleic Acid, a compound naturally produced by the skin; Phycosterols, a precursor to Vitamin D; and Tocopherols, which offer powerful antioxidant functions. Data from independent, third-party in vitro testing of Microalgae Oil showed a 42% increase in cell regeneration and 31% decrease in cell damage versus untreated cells. Additional data from independent, third-party in vivo testing indicated that skin treated with Microalgae Oil was five times more hydrated 24 hours after application versus untreated skin. Customer trial data also indicated that after 10 days of use, the Advanced Anti-Aging Repairing Oil improved the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, suppleness, and texture for the majority of participants.
