With this latest recognition, Bally has won more than 60 awards for innovation over the past four years.
The HOT awards honor leading game-technology products that make a positive difference in a casino-hotel's operations. A panel of expert judges, including several gaming and hospitality executives, evaluated the award submissions. Bally's winning products are:
Challenge Connection™ for Internet Services
Promotional Kiosk™ for Self-Service Products
DM Tournaments™' Bonus Tournaments™ for Guest Experience Enhancement
Live Floor View™ on Mobile Device for Employee Productivity and Efficiency (tied with another Company)
"It is an honor to win first place in four out of the six categories because it is recognition of our team's hard work and tremendous commitment to innovation," said Bally Technologies' Bryan Kelly, Senior Vice President of Technology. "These awards are evidence that our development teams are innovating first-in-class products that enable our casino customers to improve operations and increase profitability while providing their guests with exceptional service and a thrilling gaming experience."
Challenge Connection is the first technology to connect an electronic gaming machine (EGM) to a casino operator's Facebook page. It allows a player's score from skill-based bonus rounds to be posted to the casino Facebook leaderboard for bragging rights and prizes.
Challenge Connection encourages players to share their casino experience with their friends, creates competitions among players and teams, and encourages casino patrons and their friends to visit the land-based casino to improve their score. This groundbreaking product also encourages casino patrons to engage with the casino's Facebook page while off property.
Promotional Kiosk is a self-service product that puts player's club access at patrons' fingertips. Guests can look up their points, comp balances, promo dollars, and current offers. Patrons can also change PIN numbers, play promotional games, get win/loss statements, sign-up for services, print and reprint patron cards, redeem comps, update contact information, and much more.
DM Tournaments'Bonus Tournaments, part of Bally's Elite Bonusing Suite™, enables casinos to run floor-wide tournaments in which patrons play the base game and the tournament game at the same time, ensuring that there is no interruption in coin-in while offering the player an exciting opportunity for another chance to win a casino-configurable tournament. A casino using this new DM Tournaments feature will no longer need to disable its base games from their lucrative revenue-producing mode for tournament play. It signals the end of device downtime, lost revenue, and all the other sacrifices that casino operators currently make to stage a slot tournament. It's the ultimate form of community gaming and can be offered on slot games from most manufacturers running Bally's iVIEW Display Manager™ (DM) in-game player-user-interface or iVIEW small player-user-interface display.
Live Floor View™on Mobile Device gives casino operators on-demand information about games and patrons, enabling them to better serve players and improve employee productivity and efficiency. Casino managers can track slot performance and identify carded and uncarded hot players from an iPad. The mobile application provides casinos with graphical and detailed real-time information about activity happening on their gaming floor, all at their fingertips.
