General Dynamics Maintains Dividend

General Dynamics is keeping in line with its existing dividend policy. The company has declared a quarterly common stock dividend of $0.56 per share, to be paid on November 15 to shareholders of record as of October 11. That amount matches the firm's preceding two declared payouts, the latest of which will be dispensed on Friday. Prior to that, General Dynamics paid $0.05 less at $0.51 per share.

The firm has been a consistent dividend payer for many years. Since the beginning of 2003, its disbursement has risen steadily from $0.15 per share to the current level.

The just-declared dividend annualizes to $2.24 per share. That yields 2.6% at General Dynamics' most recent closing stock price of $87.02.
