Farmers & Merchants Bank of Long Beach Expands Senior Team With Appointment of Melissa Lanfre as Chief Operating Officer
LONG BEACH, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Farmers & Merchants Bank of Long Beach (OTCBB: FMBL) today announced an expansion of its senior management team with the appointment of Melissa Lanfre as executive vice president and chief operating officer.
In this newly created role, Lanfre assumes responsibility for overseeing the daily operations that support Farmers & Merchants' 21 community banking offices in Los Angeles and Orange Counties. Lanfre becomes part of a five-member executive management team, led by Daniel Walker, chairman of the board and chief executive officer, and Henry Walker, president.
"Melissa is a highly experienced executive who understands the intricacies of the Southern California community banking sector," said Walker. "Her wealth of knowledge will be a tremendous asset to Farmers & Merchants Bank, reflective of our continuing growth in the Southern California marketplace."

Lanfre joins Farmers & Merchants Bank with more than 30 years of banking experience. Prior to joining the Bank, she held a 10-year career with Beach Business Bank (acquired by First PacTrust Bancorp in June 2012), where she most recently served as executive vice president and chief administrative officer. Lanfre previously was senior vice president and chief financial officer at Century Housing Corporation, Cerritos Valley Bank, First Professional Bank and Harbor Bancorp.
Lanfre earned a master's degree in accounting and bachelor's degree in business administration from California State University, Northridge. She currently serves on the boards of EngAGE, a nonprofit organization providing arts, wellness and other intergenerational programs to seniors, and the Prostate Cancer Awareness Project.
