Wells Fargo Insurance Names Alan Boring Managing Director for Sherman Oaks
30-year industry veteran will focus on cross-sell and sales growth
LOS ANGELES--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Continuing to serve the specialized insurance needs of its greater Los Angeles customers, Wells Fargo Insurance, part of Wells Fargo & Company (NYS: WFC) , named Alan Boring senior vice president and managing director for its Sherman Oaks office. Boring will lead the office's business development, client service and sales, and cross-sell strategy for the company's regional insurance operations. Based in Sherman Oaks, he will report to Sam Elliott, regional managing director for Wells Fargo Insurance's West region.

With more than 30 years of industry experience in the insurance brokerage and large-account client service sectors, Boring joined Wells Fargo Insurance in 2008. Most recently, he served as senior vice president and client executive focusing on global manufacturers and distributors, as well as public sector and power generation clients. He also has experience with food systems and agribusiness, precision metal fabrication, financial institutions, bio-technology, wholesale distribution and real estate management/development. Prior to joining Wells Fargo Insurance, Boring was senior vice president at Aon Risk Services. He began his career at CIGNA's Special Risk Facility in Los Angeles and later became a risk management broker at Marsh, Inc.
Boring received his bachelor's degree in Business Administration from the University of Southern California, and has an Associate in Risk Management (ARM) designation.
Wells Fargo Insurance's Sherman Oaks office is made up of 77 team members who provide risk management and insurance services to middle market, large corporate, multi-national and high net worth customers.
