Baker Names Scott Armstrong SVP, Southeast Transportation Manager
PITTSBURGH--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Michael Baker Jr., Inc., an engineering unit of Michael Baker Corporation (NYSE MKT:BKR), announced that Scott R. Armstrong, P.E., of the Company's Columbia, South Carolina, office, has been appointed senior vice president and Southeast Region Transportation manager. In his new role, Armstrong will have leadership responsibility for all aspects of Baker's transportation activities in the Southeast Region which includes the states of Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Louisiana, Mississippi, and South Carolina.
Most recently, Armstrong served as senior project manager and operations manager for transportation alternative delivery projects (design-build and public/private partnerships) in Baker's Southeast and Mid-Atlantic regions. He has over 26 years of extensive experience in the planning, analysis, design, management and construction inspection of transportation, civil/site, storm water, and water and wastewater projects.

Armstrong holds Bachelor of Science Degrees in Civil Engineering Technology and Civil Engineering from Old Dominion University and the University of South Carolina, respectively. He is a registered Professional Engineer in North Carolina, Pennsylvania, South Carolina and Virginia.
