LinkedIn Introduces In-App "Apply" Button for Jobs
Today, LinkedInlaunched a new feature in its iOS and Android apps that allow members to apply for jobs from inside the apps -- without having to upload a resume. Users can now apply for jobs through the app simply by clicking an "apply" button and using the LinkedIn profile as their resume.
The company noticed some members were saving and viewing jobs from their mobile feed and wouldn't view them later on a computer. LinkedIn said in a blog post, "Over 30 percent of members who view jobs on LinkedIn come from mobile, and we want to make it easier for members to fully complete their job-seeking experience from mobile."
Members can search for jobs, edit their profile before applying, and save jobs for later. LinkedIn said its English-speaking members can start applying for jobs through the mobile apps starting today, but it didn't specify when the update will be available for others.
