Avnet introduces integrated and packaged off-premise cloud solutions powered by Peak, featuring NetApp Private Storage for Amazon Web Services
TEMPE, Ariz.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Avnet Technology Solutions, the global IT solutions distribution leader and operating group of Avnet, Inc. (NYSE: AVT), today announced a distribution agreement with PeakColo to increase the availability of Peak's cloud services platform via channel partners in the U.S. Peak is a leading enterprise-class infrastructure as a service (IaaS) cloud service provider that is 100 percent dedicated to serving channel partners, and Avnet will be developing integrated and packaged off-premise cloud solutions for its channel partners powered by Peak. These solutions will address the IT infrastructure challenges of channel partners' customers related to production workloads, business continuity, disaster recovery, storage and networking.
Avnet also unveiled its first Peak-powered cloud solution today based on NetApp® Private Storage for Amazon Web Services (AWS). This offering combines the performance and control of NetApp enterprise storage with the efficiency and elasticity of AWS. Enterprises can access the solution exclusively through Avnet's channel community, with the ability to consume NetApp storage in an OPEX model that does not require ownership and offers as short as a 12 month commitment.

Additionally, channel partners can white label Peak's Cloud through Avnet's Cloud Accelerator Program Powered by Peak. This program enables Avnet partners to offer cloud services by integrating Peak's enterprise-class cloud services platform, featuring Open Compute or Cisco FlexPod-based infrastructure and NetApp storage, into their existing managed services portfolio to meet the specific needs of their customers.

The Avnet Services Cloud Solutions team will also provide Peak partners with solutions sales and technical support throughout their entire sales cycle.
