It's Still Too Early to Call the Surface a Failure
Although Microsoft took a $900 million writedown thanks to a price reduction on the Surface RT tablet, it's still too early to call the company's total tablet ambitions a failure. According to Fool contributor Steve Heller, the right time to call Microsoft's tablet's ambitions a success or failure will come down the road after the company has a few more generations of refreshes under its belt.
