Fluor Declares Fresh Dividend

Fluor has elected not to veer from its current dividend policy. The company declared a quarterly common stock distribution of $0.16 per share, to be paid on October 2 to shareholders of record as of September 3. That amount matches each of the firm's previous six payouts, the most recent of which was dispensed at the beginning of July. Previous to that, Fluor had handed out $0.125 per share since a 2008 stock split.

The dividend declaration comes a day after the company reported its Q2 results. For the quarter, it posted revenue of $7.2 billion, and attributable net profit of $161.4 million ($0.98 per share). Those figures for Q2 2012 were $7.1 billion and $161.2 million ($0.95), respectively.

The just-declared distribution annualizes to $0.64 per share. That yields just under 1% at Fluor's most recent closing stock price of $66.53.
