VSE Misses on Revenues but Beats on EPS

EPS came in at $1.28. The two earnings estimates compiled by S&P Capital IQ anticipated $1.18 per share. GAAP EPS of $1.28 for Q2 were 8.5% higher than the prior-year quarter's $1.18 per share.

Margin details
For the quarter, gross margin was 11.3%, 170 basis points better than the prior-year quarter. Operating margin was 10.7%, 210 basis points better than the prior-year quarter. Net margin was 5.8%, 130 basis points better than the prior-year quarter. (Margins calculated in GAAP terms.)

Next quarter's average estimate for revenue is $127.5 million. On the bottom line, the average EPS estimate is $1.27.
