Scana Keeps Dividend Steady

Electric and natural gas utility operator Scanaannounced today its third-quarter dividend of $0.5075 per share, the same rate it's paid for the past two quarters after raising the payout 2.5% from $0.495 per share.

The board of directors said the quarterly dividend is payable on Oct. 1 to the holders of record at the close of business on Sept. 10. The regular dividend payment equates to a $2.03-per-share annual dividend, yielding 3.9% based on the closing price today of Scana's stock.
