NorthStar Realty Finance Raises Dividend

NorthStar Realty Finance has lightly boosted the financing for its shareholder payout. The real estate investment trust declared a common stock dividend of $0.20 per share for its Q2. This will be handed out on Aug. 16 to shareholders of record as of Aug.12. That amount is $0.01, or 5%, higher than the company's previous distribution of $0.19, which was paid in May.

NorthStar's new dividend is exactly double that of the company's August 2011 payout. Since then, the company has raised its disbursement every quarter.

The new dividend annualizes to $0.80 per share. That yields 8.2% at NorthStar's most recent closing stock price of $9.80.
