Laclede Group (NYS: LG) reported earnings on July 30. Here are the numbers you need to know.

EPS came in at $0.36. The four earnings estimates compiled by S&P Capital IQ anticipated $0.22 per share. Non-GAAP EPS of $0.36 for Q3 were 10% lower than the prior-year quarter's $0.40 per share. GAAP EPS of $0.25 for Q3 were 34% lower than the prior-year quarter's $0.38 per share.

Margin details
For the quarter, gross margin was 23.6%, 410 basis points better than the prior-year quarter. Operating margin was 7.4%, 70 basis points worse than the prior-year quarter. Net margin was 4.0%, 50 basis points worse than the prior-year quarter. (Margins calculated in GAAP terms.)
