Hatteras Financial Corp. Advisor Hires Senior Managing Director, Risk & Strategy

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Hatteras Financial Corp. (NYSE: HTS) ("Hatteras" or the "Company") today announced that Michael Buttner will join the management team at Atlantic Capital Advisors LLC ("ACA"), the manager of Hatteras Financial Corp. and ACM Financial Trust, Inc., as Managing Director of Asset/Liability Risk and Strategy.

Mr. Buttner comes to ACA with nearly 30 years of experience in the financial services industry. Since 1990, Mr. Buttner has held a number of senior positions with Wachovia Bank, and its successor, Wells Fargo. Most recently, he was Head of Bank Strategy at Wells Fargo Securities. Earlier he led the team that manages the pipeline/warehouse and mortgage servicing rights risk at Wells Fargo Home Lending. Previously, his titles included Head of Balance Sheet Management, where he was responsible for managing the bank's interest rate risk, investment portfolio, retained mortgage assets and mortgage servicing rights; and CEO of Wachovia Bank International. Mr. Buttner began his career in New York working for Contitrade Services and Salomon Brothers in analyst and accounting roles. Mr. Buttner holds a BS in Finance and MBA in Accounting from Fordham University.
