Fortinet Beats on Revenue, Matches Expectations on EPS

EPS came in at $0.10. The 24 earnings estimates compiled by S&P Capital IQ forecast $0.10 per share. Non-GAAP EPS of $0.10 for Q2 were 17% lower than the prior-year quarter's $0.12 per share. GAAP EPS of $0.05 for Q2 were 38% lower than the prior-year quarter's $0.08 per share.

For the quarter, gross margin was 70.4%, 80 basis points worse than the prior-year quarter. Operating margin was 9.3%, 660 basis points worse than the prior-year quarter. Net margin was 6.1%, 470 basis points worse than the prior-year quarter. (Margins calculated in GAAP terms.)
Next quarter's average estimate for revenue is $152.4 million. On the bottom line, the average EPS estimate is $0.13.
Next year's average estimate for revenue is $599.6 million. The average EPS estimate is $0.49.
