JMP Group Announces Addition of Peter Blackwoodto Investment Banking Division
SAN FRANCISCO--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- JMP Group Inc. (NYSE: JMP), an investment banking and alternative asset management firm, announced today that Peter Blackwood has joined JMP Securities as a managing director in its investment banking division. Based in the firm's San Francisco headquarters, Mr. Blackwood will cover the Internet and digital media sectors, with an emphasis on providing strategic advisory services.

Prior to joining JMP Securities, Mr. Blackwood was a managing director and head of the technology and media investment banking group at Janney Montgomery Scott, where he oversaw the expansion of that firm's calling effort within the Internet, digital media, communications equipment, software and IT services industries.
