Xplore Technologies Secures Additional Rugged Tablet Order from Medical Device Engineering Company

The order for more than $3 million extends Xplore's relationship with a leading medical device manufacturer

AUSTIN, Texas--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Xplore Technologies Corp. (NAS: XPLR) , the manufacturer of the world's most powerful, longest-lasting and ultra-rugged tablets on the market, secured an additional purchase order of more than $3 million of its iX104C5 Dual-Mode Lite (DML) ultra-rugged tablets from a leading medical device manufacturer.

The ultra-rugged tablets are utilized in life-saving procedures, operating as a control unit for a medical device that temporarily takes over the function of a vital organ. Since 2012, the manufacturer has ordered more than $6.5 million of Xplore's iX104C5 DML devices.

"We specialize in providing the most ultra-rugged tablets on the market that are durable enough for any extremes but can also handle complex and sensitive tasks," Mark Holleran, president and chief operating officer for Xplore Technologies, said. "The additional order of our DML ultra-rugged tablets not only highlights our expertise, but our continued success within the medical industry."

The iX104C5 DML tablet is designed for less process intensive applications, utilizes the Intel® Celeron® processor and is ideal for ambient indoor and outdoor light conditions. Xplore Technologies' iX104C5 ultra-rugged product line is the most durable, powerful and longest-lasting industrial tablet PC in its class.
