Stewart Title Guaranty Company Names Kline Underwriting Counsel for the Carolinas
HOUSTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Stewart Title Guaranty Company is pleased to announce the appointment of Brett Kline as underwriting counsel for Carolinas. In this position, he will handle residential and commercial underwriting services for independent issuing agencies and local Stewart offices in the Carolinas.
"I am very pleased to welcome Brett to the Stewart team," said Mark Johnson, regional underwriting counsel, southeast region. "He has a wealth of knowledge of real property law and title insurance, and will be a valuable resource for customers seeking help with underwriting issues."
An attorney in real estate services since 1999, Brett has worked for various law firms, and has served as a licensed South Carolina title insurance agent. His experience includes closings, curing title defects, foreclosure pleadings, documents and hearings.
Brett holds a bachelor's degree from College of Charleston and received his Juris Doctorate from University of South Carolina School of Law. He is a member of the South Carolina Bar Association and the Richland County (SC) Bar.
