Genie Energy Declares 2ndQuarter Dividend on Preferred Stock

NEWARK, N.J.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Genie Energy Ltd., (NYSE: GNE, GNEPRA) said that today its Board of Directors has declared a dividend for the second quarter of 2013 of $0.1594 per share of its Series 2012-A Preferred Stock.

The dividend will be paid on August 15, 2013 to preferred stockholders of record as of the close of business on August 7, 2013. The ex-dividend date is August 5, 2013.


The distribution will be treated as a return of capital for tax purposes.
