Arkansas Best Holds Dividend Steady

Arkansas Best has elected to stick with its long-standing dividend. The company this week declared its latest common stock quarterly disbursement, which is to be $0.03 per share paid on Aug. 22 to shareholders of record as of Aug. 8.

That amount is in line with each of Arkansas Best's regular distributions stretching back to February 2010. The just-declared dividend annualizes to $0.12 per share. That yields 0.5% at Arkansas Best's most recent closing stock price of $21.95.

The company is scheduled to announce its Q2 results prior to market open on Aug. 9. Management is scheduled to host a conference call at 9:30 am Eastern time that morning to discuss the quarter.
