Diamond Offshore Drilling Declares Regular, Special Dividends
In addition to a regular $0.125-per-share quarterly dividend, Diamond Offshore Drilling has once again declared a special cash dividend of $0.75 a share, the company announced today.
Both the regular and special dividend payouts will be made on Sept. 3 to shareholders of record on Aug. 6. Diamond Offshore has maintained its regular dividend -- currently equal to an annual 0.72% dividend yield -- and special dividend payout at their existing levels for three years.
However, Diamond Offshore said it reconsiders paying special cash dividends each quarter, depending on factors such as financial results, earnings, and capital expenditures to determine what, if any, special dividends will be paid.
