Capital One Keeps Dividend Steady
Capital One Financial has elected not to veer from its existing dividend policy. The company declared a quarterly distribution of $0.30 per share, to be paid on August 15 to shareholders of record as of August 5. That amount matches the firm's previous distribution, which was paid in May. Prior to that, Capital One handed out a much lower $0.05 per share.
In the press release announcing the news, the company did not shy away from mentioning that it has declared payouts every quarter since becoming an independent company in early 1995.
The just-declared dividend annualizes to $1.20 per share. That yields 1.7% at Capital One's most recent closing stock price of $68.72.
