Callaway Golf Lands on the Green With a Steady Dividend

Golf pro Callaway Golfannounced yesterday its third-quarter dividend of $0.01 per share, the same rate it's paid since 2009 when it slashed its payout from $0.07 per share.

The board of directors said the quarterly dividend is payable on September 16 to holders of record at the close of business on August 21. The golf shop has made quarterly payouts to investors since 1993.

The board also announced it would pay a dividend of $1.875 per share on its 7.50% Series B cumulative perpetual convertible preferred stock that would also be payable on September 16 to shareholders of record as of August 21.


The regular dividend payment equates to a $0.04-per-share annual dividend, yielding 0.5% based on the closing price today of Callaway Golf's stock.
