Williams Partners Hikes Dividend 9%

Natural gas transportation and storage MLP Williams Partnersannounced yesterday its third-quarter dividend of $0.8625 per unit, a 9% increase from the payout it made to investors last quarter of $0.8475 per unit.

The board of directors said the quarterly dividend is payable on August 9 to holders of record at the close of business on August 2. The master limited partnership has made quarterly payouts to investors since 2005.

The regular dividend payment equates to a $3.45-per-share annual dividend, yielding 6.7% based on the closing price today of Williams Partners' stock.
