TD Ameritrade Institutional Makes Its Mark on Advisor Technology

Little Logo Sends Big Message to Advisors

JERSEY CITY, N.J.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- A new "Veo Integrated" logo makes it easy for registered investment advisors (RIAs) to identify technology providers that have built valuable integrations with TD Ameritrade Institutional's1 Veo® advisor platform. RIAs in the market to purchase technology can look for the logo on participating technology providers' marketing materials including Web sites, brochures and videos. 2

The "Veo Integrated" logo is part of a larger effort to raise awareness and adoption of the quality technology integrations that have been delivered to RIAs through the Veo open access initiative. The industry-wide effort kicked off in late 2010 to help advisory firms maximize their technology and streamline day-to-day operations. Today, RIAs using Veo have access to integrations with 50 different technology providers including leading customer relationship management ("CRM"), financial planning, portfolio management, rebalancing and document management applications.

"TD Ameritrade Institutional is working with a growing network of technology providers to improve the technology experience for RIAs by integrating common advisor applications with our Veo system," said Jon Patullo, managing director of technology, TD Ameritrade Institutional. "The 'Veo Integrated' logo recognizes the innovation, collaboration and commitment to RIAs shown by firms that have contributed to the success of the Veo open access initiative."

Integration List Expands, Advisor Adoption Increases
TD Ameritrade Institutional continues to expand the list of Veo open access technology providers and deepen existing integrations with Veo. Overall advisor adoption of Veo open access integrations is up 104 percent in 2013. The customized Salesforce CRM app is one of the most widely adopted, with more than 1,000 users.

"In order to participate in the Veo open access initiative, all third-party technology providers must meet a set of stringent security requirements and have the ability to deliver quality service to advisors," added Patullo. "It's important that firms eligible to display the 'Veo Integrated' logo demonstrate a high standard of care and commitment to RIAs."
