AOL Hires New CEO of AOL Networks

Bob Lord plans to joinAOL as its CEO of AOL Networks on Aug. 1. Lord has previously acted as CEO of Publicis Groupe's Digital Technologies Division, as well as global chief executive officer of digital marketing agency Razorfish.

In his new position, Lord will be responsible for all facets of AOL Networks, the company's flagship technology stack. AOL Networks works with more than 4,000 advertisers and 22,000 publishers. He will report to Tim Armstrong, AOL's chairman and CEO.

Armstrong looks forward to Lord's arrival to the AOL family. He was quoted in the company press release as saying Lord "has been a digital marketing and technology leader for nearly two decades and ... has a proven track record of driving innovation within an organization. His technology background will be pivotal as AOL continues its mission to simplify digital advertising at scale across platforms, screens, and formats."


Since the start of 2013, AOL has seen its share price rise from $29.61 to $37.37.
