Republic Bancorp Keeps Dividend Steady

Republic Bancorpannounced yesterday its third-quarter dividend of $0.176 per share on its Class A and common stock, the same rate it paid last quarter after raising the payout almost 7%, from $0.165 per share. It also said it was paying $0.16 per share on its Class B stock.

The board of directors said the quarterly dividends are payable on Oct. 18 to the holders of record at the close of business on Sept. 20. The parent company of Republic Bank & Trust, and Republic Bank, has made quarterly payouts to investors since 1996. It paid a special dividend of $1.10 per share in December 2012.

The regular dividend payment equates to a $0.70-per-share annual dividend, yielding 2.6% based on the closing price of Republic Bancorp's stock on July 17.
