Pentagon Awards 20 Contracts Worth $775.5 Million Thursday
The U.S. Department of Defense issued 20 new contracts Thursday, handing out awards totaling $775.5 million in total. Among the winners:
Northrop Grumman won a maximum $40.2 million firm-fixed-price, sole-source contract to supply the Defense Logistics Agency's Aviation department with "outer wing panels" for unspecified Navy aircraft. Delivery on this contract is due Jan. 31, 2017 .
Boeing won a cost-plus-fixed-fee contract worth up to $39.6 million to provide logistics support and fielding and training services for U.S. Army units being equipped with its CH-47F Chinook transport helicopter.
Oceaneering International Inc was awarded a $16.5 million cost-plus-fixed fee, cost-plus-incentive fee and firm-fixed-price contract to provide technical/maintenance services for a dry-deck shelter. DoD noted that the awarded contract contains "options" for additional work which, if exercised, would increase the value of this contract to $99.7 million. The base period of the contract calls for work to be completed by July 2014. Optional extensions could stretch the contract out through July 2018.
SAP's Government Support and Services unit was awarded a time-and-materials, option-filled contract with a maximum value of $7.1 million to provide enterprise resource planning services to the Army.
