Aetna Mobile Adds Disability Benefit Access for Easy, On-The-Go Management of Absence Information

HARTFORD, Conn.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Today Aetna (NYSE: AET) announced the addition of Disability and Leave Management functionality to Aetna Mobile. Members can now view and manage their disability and leave information on-the-go using Aetna Mobile from their smartphone or tablet.

According to a study by Cybercitizen Health and Manhattan Research, the number of adults using mobile phones for health information was 75 million in 2012, up from 61 million in 2011.1

Members with an active disability or leave claim can use Aetna's mobile app to:

  • Review disability claims or leave status, including dates of absence from work

  • View disability benefit payment history, including payment amounts and claim details

  • Contact Aetna for assistance with disability claims and leave requests
