New Vicor Webinar Will Highlight the Causes, Impact and Measurement of Conducted EMI in Modern Power Systems

Live webinar on July 23 - the first in a two-part series focused on EMI - to help educate power system designers about the challenges of meeting EMI standards

ANDOVER, Mass.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Vicor Corporation (NAS: VICR) today announced the next installment in its popular Power Advantage Educational Series, featuring expert design tips and techniques aimed at optimizing power solution design. The new live webinar on July 23, 2013, presented by Chris Swartz, Principal Application Engineer, Vicor, will provide attendees with a comprehensive understanding of the design considerations and challenges associated with conducted electromagnetic interference (EMI) in modern power systems. To register for this webinar, visit Vicor's website.

Meeting EMI standards is a major challenge for power system designers. Attenuating conducted EMI can be complex and difficult, particularly if engineers don't fully understand the root cause or major factors that impact conducted EMI performance. In this webinar, Chris Swartz will discuss the causes, impact and measurement of EMI, and explain the requirements of various EMI standards. At the end of the session, participants will have a greater understanding of conducted EMI, Line Impedance Stabilization Networks (LISN), the main causes of differential and common mode EMI, standards requirements and EMI measurement techniques.

This live webinar is scheduled for Tuesday, July 23, at 8:00AM EDT/13:00 BST/17:30 IST. A second live presentation of this webinar is scheduled for later in the day at 10:00AM PDT/1:00PM EDT/18:00 BST.

This webinar is the first in a two-part Vicor webinar series focused on EMI. The second webinar, "Practical Design Considerations and Solutions for the Reduction of Conducted EMI and Filter Size in Power Systems," will be held on September 18, 2013.

There is no cost to attend these webinars. For more information, or to register for these webinars, visit Vicor's website. To sign up to receive email alerts about Vicor webinars, visit the Vicor PowerBlog.
