CMS Energy Keeps Dividend Steady

Updated

Electric and natural gas utility CMS Energyannounced yesterday its third-quarter dividend of $0.255 per share, the same rate it's paid for the past two quarters after raising the payout 6% from $0.24 per share.

The board of directors said the quarterly dividend is payable on Aug. 30 to the holders of record at the close of business on Aug. 2. The utility has made quarterly payouts to investors since 2007 after having suspended dividend payments in 2003.

The regular dividend payment equates to a $1.02-per-share annual dividend, yielding 3.6% based on the closing price of CMS Energy's stock on July 15.
