Yum! Brands (NYS: YUM) reported earnings on July 10. Here are the numbers you need to know.

EPS came in at $0.56. The 23 earnings estimates compiled by S&P Capital IQ anticipated $0.54 per share. Non-GAAP EPS of $0.56 for Q2 were 16% lower than the prior-year quarter's $0.67 per share. GAAP EPS of $0.61 for Q2 were 12% lower than the prior-year quarter's $0.69 per share.

Margin details
For the quarter, gross margin was 24.3%, 100 basis points worse than the prior-year quarter. Operating margin was 12.5%, 250 basis points worse than the prior-year quarter. Net margin was 9.7%, 70 basis points worse than the prior-year quarter. (Margins calculated in GAAP terms.)

Next quarter's average estimate for revenue is $3.58 billion. On the bottom line, the average EPS estimate is $0.95.
